LITTLE CROSSERS
Children aged 2+ are welcome to join in the cyclocross fun and catch the cycling bug at an early age. Balance Bikes, trainer wheels and tricycles are OK too. A minimum license required is a 'KIDZ' or 'Dirtmaster' membership. Primary School Aged Children can get their memberships for free under the sports vouncher program. Email us to find out more.
SUPPORT (OPEN BIKE/MONSTER CX/MTB) EVENT
All riders must have a permit or license to race. MTBA 2-month trial memberships are FREE if you have not held a membership in the past 3 years. Existing Permit holders can upgrade to a full PACC license and contest the championship events by paying the difference, email for options. Any type of bicycle is permitted in the Open Bike Event (eg BMX, MTB, Downhill, Road, CX...). If you hold a 3-ride permit or MTBA Trial membership this event is for you.
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS
Riders must hold a full Cycling Australia or MTBA race membership to race championship events, as per Australian and State Regulations. 3-ride permits, day licenses and temporary two-month MTBA trial memberships are NOT permitted. The following State Championship Categories will be awarded subject to entries: J9 (mixed), J11 (mixed), J13, J15, J17, J19, Elite, U23, Masters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. (Masters 1=30-34yo, Master 2=35-39yo and so on based upon the age you attain in 2020) . Medals awarded for each category.
Any bicycle may be ridden provided it conforms to general safety regulations. Two working brakes and bar end plugs required.
The racing will be conducted under Australian/UCI Cyclo-Cross Technical Regulations. Bicycles must conform to Regulations (eg drop bars, max tyre width 33mm (UCI Categories J19, Elite) 35mm, two working brakes)
State Elite Race Eligibility - Any licensed rider born 2001 or before are eligible to contest this championship (whether they hold a Masters or Elite Membership). U23 or U19 riders will also ride within this race and be awarded medals separately.
Masters aged riders (born 1990 or before) may contest either Masters Championships or Elite Championships, or BOTH. You will need enter and pay for both races (you will need to login again)
