GSCC first introduced women’s races in 2017, thanks to the efforts of some passionate women who recognized the need to encourage clubs to be more welcoming and inclusive for female members (see our website for more details https://gscc.net.au/). We are proud to announce that our new Women’s Handicap Classic will feature in the 2026 racing calendar.

The safety of Riders, Officials & the general public is our priority, please observe the following instructions :-
Attend mandatory race briefing & arrive at the start line 5 minutes prior to your schedule start time (penalties apply for late arrival)
Keep to the left at all times, to minimise the impact to other road users
Obey Road Rules at all times
Follow the directions of race officials
In the sprint, maintain a straight line, and keep both your hands on the bars before, during and after the sprint
Have a working red tail light
While every endeavour has been to provide riders with a safe riding environment, we cannot predict the unexpected - cycle racing can be a dangerous sport.
Our cycling club races on the lands of the Wadawurrung people and we wish to acknowledge them as traditional owners. We would also like to pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities.
