Spring Race Series - pre-season race clinic and ride

GMBC is hosting a pre-season race clinic on Sunday 19 October 2025 - one week before the start of the Spring No Frills MTB Cross Country Series.

Never raced before and want to know how No Frills racing works before signing up?

Want to hone your skills and tackle some of the more technical features before race day?

Want to learn more about race-craft, tactics and preparation?

Have some burning questions about bike set-up, technique or how to go faster?

Just want to ride the set course for the season opener, meet some GMBC members and have a chat?

Then this day is for you.

We will have some of GMBC's experienced club racers on hand to answer your questions, share their secrets (we have been assured they won't hold back!) and to host a ride of the set course for the first race of the No Frills Spring Series.

We'll tailor the format of the day depending on people's interests, but it will include a no-drop lap or two of the 6.3km course for the 25th October Club Champs Course:

Open to anyone 13 years or older (you don't have to be a GMBC member) Sunday 19 Ocober 2025

Meet at 10:00 at Drysdale Rd Carpark, You Yangs Regional Park

Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours (course starts and finishes at car park, so feel free to drop at any point) Bring a mountain bike (any type will do so long as it is in working order), helmet, water/hydration, snacks/nutrition, bug spray and sunscreen, appropriate clothing - Lycra not mandatory.
