Welcome to RTC’s Annual The Bike Place Shoalwater Classic Triathlon - Sunday 1st February 2026.

This race is the Triathlon Western Australia State Sprint Championships. It is important that you have your correct Triathlon Australia membership number detailed on your EntryBoss profile, this is to ensure you are eligible for the State titles

Please note that swim caps will be provided but you will need to bring your own race belt.

The minimum age for individual participants is 14 years for the Sprint course.

Race Categories

On registration, please select your relevant category as listed below

TWA Member – OPEN

This category is for male and female TWA members who wish to compete in the Open category of the TWA State Sprint Championships. Open Category (Elite athletes) entries are subject to approval by the organizers and Triathlon WA.

TWA Member – AGE GROUP

This category is for male and female TWA members who wish to compete in the Age Group category of the TWA State Sprint Championships

TWA Member – Mutli Class / Para

This category is for eligible Multi Class / Para-triathlete male and female TWA members who wish to compete in the Multi Class / ParaTri category of the TWA State Sprint Championships

Non Member

This category is for male and female athletes who wish to compete or just complete the Shoalwater Classic Triathlon. Please note, if you are not a Triathlon Australia member, you will need to purchase a One Day License during registration for insurance purposes to compete.

Registration is online only and there will be no registrations taken on race morning. Start Times are subject to change, times will be detailed on the RTC website and announced race morning.

Race Fees

Participants that are not members of Triathlon Australia will need to purchase a day membership to be allowed to race and be covered by insurance. This is an additional $12.50 for sprint distance
