Open Grades and Junior Riders
- During regular season, Women's A-C grades race with the next lower open grade (e.g. Women's C rides with Open D)
- Junior riders are welcome to enter D grade, unless otherwise assessed and approved by the handicapper.
- As per AusCycling policy, unfortunately Juniors are not eligible for prize money, however non-cash prizes may be available.
- Open E is our learn-to-race grade for any rider who wants to learn criterium/road racing in a safe environment, regardless of gender or age. A racing licence is still required, please check the information about the free trial on the AusCycling Website.
Sprint Primes vs A+ Breakaways.
- In the event of a successful breakaway of A+ riders in A grade, prizes may be awarded to both the first winners (from the A+ break) as well as for group sprint finishers at discretion of commissaire
- If the A+ riders do not establish a breakaway, the commissaire may announce a sprint lap mid-race.
Women's Grades
- Separate Women's races will be offered when there are 4 or more women on the start line.
- When this occurs, the women's race will commence two laps after open grade starts, and the race commissaire will wait until the open grade has completed their final finish sprint before calling three laps to go for the women to avoid both grades crossing the finish at once.
- Only women racing in open grades are eligible for FCC x CCC series prizes
