Gravity Flow style race

ABOUT

This event is a Cross Country MTB Gravity Flow race open to Senior and Junior riders. This style of racing is really social, it will run for 3 hours from 2pm - 5pm and competitors will ride to the top starting point and select one of the two trails they will then be timed for the downhill section only. You can rest for as long as you like and complete as many runs as you like but only 4 for each trail will be timed and overall results based on your fastest times. There will be the fastest time for each lap and the winners determined by fastest overall time. There will 4 timed runs on two separate tracks starting at the same spot. This race may be slightly more difficult than the first events for 2022, but still easy and achievable for most. It will still be suitable for any new riders who would like to give it a go.

The Senior course will be approximately 3 - 5 minutes in length. The U11 and U13 course will be a modified and shortened version of the Senior track likely to be around 3 -5 minutes in length. Dirtmachines (3-7yrs) will have a supervised 15min ride session on the MTB 101 or similar course.

Course Marshalls will be around the track to assist riders including Sweep Riders. Unfortunately, riding cannot commence until sufficient Course Marshalls have been secured. If you know someone who will be at the event who is able to Marshall, please contact the club.
