Bunbury Cyclocross #8 is proudly backed by Bunbury Cycles for what should be another great Friday evening with great food, drinks, racing and good vibes. We will run cyclocross fortnightly until the end of March.

With over 70 riders and many family members of all ages taking part last year we plan to continue what has become a great fun evening looked forward to by both riders and spectators alike, now with pumping tunes, commentary and Contuined course modifications.
This Cyclocross series run by the SWCC in conjunction with the Ferguson Valley MTB is principally all about fun and open to anyone on any bike with working brakes.
There are 2 short events for kids 2-7(150m) and 8-13 year olds(1.5km). The first ride.is mass start while the second is a handicap ride giving the slower riders a headstart. The winner overall is decided by placings in both events.
There are 2 races for over 13 year olds and adults divided into not so fast riders and faster riders with both events handicapped based on previous results and guesswork. Both events are 25-30 min long.
We would like to thank the Bunbury Tri Club for their support with bollards and timing system, Prime for suppling the bunting and Last Slice for the weekly Bottomless Bowls of ice cream for the kids, Golden and Silver mugs for the adults which includes 10&5 refills of whatever drink they wish.
A small fee $8 & $15 will cover the race entry and include a free beer, wine or soft drink, sausage sizzle/slow cooked beef or pork and salad supplied and served by our weekly sponsor.

This is a chance to have some short races on varying terrain whilst being egged on by fellow crazy cyclists and supporters enjoying the South Bunbury Bar and Bbq facilitates overlooking the course.
We are excited to run a series of Bunbury Cyclocross events over the next 6 Friday evenings at Hands Oval, with full support of an open Bar and BBQ facilities and grandstand overlooking almost the entire course on the embankment and grassed areas surrounding the oval. [See map noting course will change week to week and while going very close to the bar it doesn’t actually go through it! ;)) Sorry! :))
Riders of all ages and speeds will be catered for.
The focus will be to have a Fun, Social and Slightly Competitive evening with everyone given an opportunity to place in each category each evening, with guess-estimate handicapping in place, giving everyone the opportunity to take home a converted Belgium Beer Mug, Pint and Middy glasses and ice cream bowls supplied by Last Slice Pizza and Sportsbar which will be able to freely refilled numerous times the following week when visiting their venue!!
. The cost will be $15 per adult and $8 per child Which will include associate membership to the South Bunbury Football Club, a free beer, wine or soft drink, sausage sizzle and salad.
Spectators Sausages x 2 for $5 and $5 for salad.
