Race Day Procedures

  • Please sanitize your hands before approaching the desk and observe social distancing markers or signs, there will be sanitizer available when you arrive.
  • Sign-on: collect your (pre-sanitized) race number and chip timing tag at the desk, there is NO signing on, if you have collected your bib and chip, that's all you need to do.
  • Start Lines: Riders will be separated by the 2sqm per person rule, and during the race not an issue as riders will spread out quickly, but please do not purposely ride immediately next to another rider if it can be avoided. Race safe, and then exit the course and maintain social distancing please.
  • Post race: bib numbers and chips go back to the desk in the appropriate box, to be cleaned and sanitized before the next race.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at the registration area, and there are also toilets with washing facilities and hand soap.
  • There is NO CASH accepted or handed out. If cash prizes are won, they will be bank transferred to you ONLY, details can be given to the Club post event for this to happen.

Race Fees

Online entry cost is $20.
If the race is cancelled due to weather (Ha Ha, this is cyclocross, we don't cancel unless high winds make it dangerous!! There are lots of old gum trees about the course), all online entries will be refunded.

  • Which Race Do I Enter? - We get asked this a lot. So, The Elite Races are for Elite racers (obviously) who are U19 or above and if you race A grade on the road you should be in there! Mens B is for anyone in a regular MTB/Road B/C grade level that has a CX bike. Men and Women Open is for riders U15 and above, and around a C/D grade level Road/MTB rider, or anyone who only has a MTB to race on. BUT, if you're an A/B grader, you should be getting a CX bike and entering the Elite/B race.

  • No License, No Race: - Riders need a current license (or proof of renewal) to race. CA and MTBA licenses allowed. Licences may be checked at any time so to make sure you can race, BRING your licence (physical or digital version) with you to every race.

  • On-the-day Entries: THERE ARE NONE, PREREGISTRATION ONLY. For the free kids race there is no registration required, just turn up with bikes and helmets ready to go.

  • 8 week free trial MTBA licence Sign up for a trail licence here

To support families with junior riders, CCCC also offers the following:
Juniors under 19 years ride for FREE and race for the podium – no prize money
(Junior categories are calculated from date of birth, using Cycling Australia membership categories)

Juniors may race both the Junior specific (modified course) and another category, i.e. Mens/Womens Open or Mens B Grade.

All entries are provisional until reviewed by the race director and/or handicapper. If you are unsure of which grade to enter, pick which you think is the best, and put some notes in your entry for the handicapper to review. If you are an A grade road rider, please enter the Elite or A Grade race regardless of your cyclocross experience!
