*Please note this is a technical track and whilst ‘B’ lines are available, it is designed for experienced riders and NOT recommended for young riders and those that are new to the sport *

A TRACK WALK IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL RIDERS PRIOR TO PRACTICE. There will be buses available for track walks prior to practice starting.

THE TRACK WILL BE CLOSED TO BIKES FROM SATURDAY 13TH JANUARY TO ALLOW TMB TO COMPLETE RACE PREPARATION. PLEASE RESPECT THEIR SAFETY AND THE TRACK BY NOT RIDING THE TRACK DURING THIS TIME. The track is open for track walks.


There is to be NO SELF SHUTTLING over the weekend

Self-shuttling can result in disqualification.


Wait List:

There is a capacity constraint on our events which may mean you are advised you are waitlisted at entry.

Waitlisted basically means you are waiting to see if a spot becomes available.

If a spot becomes available, you will receive an automated email notifying you of your changed status. If not, you will receive a full refund.

If you no longer want to be on the waiting list, please remove yourself as soon as possible by scratching yourself to receive a full refund. If you are upgraded from the waiting list to a provisional entry, you will not be entitled to a refund.


Other Info:
Camping: Camping is not permitted on site on race weekend. There are a range of accommodation options in Mt Beauty and the surrounding area but bear in mind this race is during peak holiday season so booking asap is recommended.
Parking: There is parking available on site or the MTB Park is only a short walk from Mt Beauty itself.
Catering: Amazing food will be available on site from Kitchen 95.
Please place all rubbish in the bins provided or take home with you.
Dogs: Are allowed on site but must be on lead at all times.

Volunteers:

The VDHS is run solely by volunteers and more volunteers are needed to run the race on the day – examples include but are not limited to marshalling and driving.

If you are able to spare a couple of hours or longer, please let us know when you register on Entry Boss or contact TMB directly on info@tmb.org.au

Safety equipment:

  • A full-face helmet is mandatory, no detachable mouthpiece allowed. Helmet checks will be performed at rego.

  • Elbows must be covered by a jersey/shirt or elbow pads. ¾ length jerseys are acceptable.

  • Knees must be covered by full length trousers and/or self-fastening knee or knee/shin guards expressively designed for off-road conditions

For all riders under 17 years of age:

The following equipment is mandatory at all times while on track regardless of registered category:

  • Full finger gloves must be worn

  • Full length jersey – jersey must cover elbows at all times

  • Knee pads and elbow pads must be worn

Race Etiquette

Antisocial behaviour towards volunteers, other riders or spectators, both at the race and on social media, will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification. Please respect and treat others how you wish to be treated.

Queues – no one likes queuing, however some queuing cannot be avoided. If you push in to any queue, you will be asked to go to the back of the queue. Further action will be taken for repeat offenders.

Self shuttling is not permitted and may result in disqualification from the race.

Mandatory practice on Sunday – you must complete one full practice run on Sunday or you will not be able to race.

Race entries are non-transferable and you may be asked for ID to confirm you are registered. Anyone caught riding under a different name will be disqualified from racing.

AUSCYCLING MEMBERSHIPS ONLY

  • Check the membership info in your EntryBoss Profile is current & valid.
  • You need an off-road RACE membership as a minimum.
  • We only accept VALID AUSCYCLING MEMBERSHIPS & check that against the AusCycling membeship database.
  • DO NOT enter on an old MTBA membership number.
  • If you are Waitlisted, please note we will take a valid membership in preference to an invalid membership.
  • Check your EntryBoss Profile info before you enter under your entryBoss account https://entryboss.cc/account
  • Once it is correct you don't have to worry about it again!
