Girls Who Ride 6

Calling All Junior Girls at Canberra CC, Vikings CC and Canberra Off Road Cyclists.

TV sports presenter and retired pro-cyclist Gracie Elvin, along with other top Canberra cyclists is going to host another Girls Who Ride bunch on Sunday 17th September 2023

All junior girls riding with Canberra Cycling Club, Vikings Cycling Club and Canberra Off Road Cyclists are invited to sign up for the bunch.

Come and join your elite ride hosts for a one-hour bunch ride, followed by an essential post-ride café chat.

This is another great opportunity for junior girls to talk with the ride hosts about all things women’s cycling whether it be, road, track or MTB. Gracie has been back on the screens and podcasts, commentating on some of the world’s biggest races this season including the Tour de France, Tour de France Femme avec Zwift and UCI World Championships.

All of the hosts are continuing to support the junior girls here in Canberra. As always, there is no shortage of topics the junior girls can chat to the hosts about, be it cycling or whatever!

Girls Who Ride is Back!

The ‘Girls Who Ride’ bunch ride is for competent U13-U19 girls, with the focus on bunch skills, fitness and most importantly, a safe social environment for mentoring, group conversation and good times, all under the leadership of our local experts and racers.

“We want to keep our young cyclists engaged in the sport for the long term and attract many more along the way. Canberra has a wealth of riches when it comes to experienced and successful cycling women. We hope that by running and growing this juniors’ bunch we can use these experienced women to help build development pathways for our junior girls, so that they stay in the sport for the long term, both to their and the sport’s benefit.”
