ENTRY PROCESS

Melbourne Club GP (close at noon on Saturday, 25 November 2023)

  • Riders can enter individually via Entryboss or be entered by their club
  • If entering via Entryboss: Ensure your current primary club is listed on your Entryboss profile.
  • Riders can compete for either their primary or add-on club but MUST STATE THEIR CLUB they wish to compete for if it is different to the club shown on the Entryboss profile.
  • Bulk entries can submitted using the EVENT ENTRY FORM (please download first)

    Event Type:

    • Club Teams Track State Championships (Saturday/Sunday): Club Teams (please refer to section below for information on team compositions) competing in the Team Sprint and/or Team Pursuit for State Championship medals and the overall club tally of the weekend.
    • Melbourne Club GP (Sunday): Individuals of all age categories are competing in several events (sprint + enduro) towards the overall club tally of the weekend.

    Race Categories:

    • Club Teams Track State Championships: J11, J13, JM15, JW15, JM17, JW17, JW19, JM19, Open Women, Open Men, Women Masters Open, Men Masters Open, Women Masters Restricted (135+ TS/140+ TP) and Men Masters Restricted (135+ TS/150+ TP)

    • Melbourne Club GP: J11/J13 AB, J15 AB, J17 ABC, Seniors ABCD* (category grades subject to number of participants).

    *Senior riders will be graded based on their Flying 200m time. Riders who don't compete in the Flying 200m will be graded based previous results.

    Membership Requirements: J11, J13, J15, J17, J19, U23, Elite, Masters

    Riders must hold a valid AusCycling Race All Discipline membership.

    *J17 team sprints and team pursuits may be contested with a combination of J15 and J17 riders: J15 riders do not have to meet J17 hear restrictions when riding up.

    Melbourne Club GP

    $35 (+ credit card fees)

    Riders are able to scratch (full refund) from a race before close of entries by logging into their Entryboss account.

    A medical certificate within 7 days of the event will be required for refunds after entries have closed.

    A refund may be granted for other reasons at the discretion of AusCycling.


    Team Regulations for Club Teams Track State Championships

    Entry Regulations

    1. There is no limit to the number of teams a club can enter.

    2. All participants must wear an approved club kit or plain kit.

    3. Riders may enter multiple Championships events however only once in a category.

    4. Interstate clubs may participate but are not eligible for medal round ride- offs. Organisers may allow interstate teams to ride-off against each other if programming allows.

    Team Composition

    1. For the purposes of forming teams, a rider’s club of representation is their primary road/track club. Any riders must transfer clubs at least 30 days prior to the first day of competition to be eligible.

    2. If a non-road/track club rider has a secondary club which is considered a road and track club it will automatically consider their primary club for the purpose of entry regulations (State/Territory Championships).

    3. A club may permit a rider to participate as their secondary club should they not be selected or are not able to provide an opportunity to participate. ii.Composite Team: Composite teams may be formed under the following framework:

    4. The club must be located over 200km from the event or be able to provide evidence that there are insufficient entries from the club to enter a team.

    5. A minimum of 50% of the participants must be members of the club entering the riders.

    6. In the case where a club cannot meet the above, riders may participate however they will not be eligible for medal round ride-offs. Organisers may allow composite teams to ride-off against each other if programming allows.

    7. All teams must be approved by their respective clubs. Composite teams must be approved by all clubs represented in their nominations

    Riders competing on both days will keep their allocated numbers.

    • Sunday from 9:30am (warmup from 8:45am)

    Club Teams Track State Champs

    • J11, JG13, JB13, JW15, JM15, JW17, JM17, JW19, JM19, Open Women, Open Men, Women Masters Open, Men Masters Open, Women Masters Restricted (135+ TS/140+ TP), Men Masters Restricted (135+ TS/150+ TP)

    Melbourne Club GP

    • U11/U13, U15, U17, Seniors (all categories will offer grades which will be determined based on the F200m times)

    Riders who do not take part in the Flying 200m will be graded by AC.

    Points and Event Rules for the Melbourne Club GP

    • Every rider that finishes an event scores points towards the Overall Club Champion, Points Per Rider and Most Valuable Rider classifications of the day.
    • Points: 1st=20pts, 2nd=19pts, 3rd=18pts, ... 20th+=1pt etc. (riders who are pulled out by the commissaire will still be placed and will score at least 1 point - riders pulling out themselves will be listed as dnf and will not score any points)
    • Riders can but do not have to participate in all events offered in their category
    • Clubs can nominate as many riders as they wish to participate in any category
    • Double points will be awarded for the Flying 200m and other selected events as indicated on the race program

    Additional Equipment and Height Regulations 2023

    Riders who do not appear on the exemption list will not be granted an exemption and will have to comply with the standard regulations.

    Junior 19 and Elite Riders in Category 2 must submit a rider height attestation application through the UCI portal only.

    Junior 19 and Elite Riders in Category 3 must submit a rider height attestation application through the UCI portal only.

    All other riders must submit a rider height attestation form to AusCycling email track@auscycling.org.au.

    All Championship events at this event are Open Championships and therefore open to interstate riders.

    Random bike checks may be conducted for all categories.


    Prizes and Presentations

    Presentations will be held at the conclusion of the event with the following awards (trophies) being presented:

    • Championship medals for Club Teams Track State Championships
    • Overall Champion: Club that accumulated the most points across the day
    • Aggregate Club Champion: Club with highest score per rider average (total points divided by number of starters)
    • Most valuable female and male junior/senior riders for those riders contributing the most points for their club
