The Bike Place Shoalwater Classic provides 2 race distances for teams entry

Team Rules

Triathlon Australia race rules apply. Change over to occur in transition at the spot the team riders bike is racked. Timing chip to be handed over from swimmer to rider then rider to runner. Teams can be of any mixture of gender. No category awards will be given.

The minimum age for participants part of a team is 14 years for the Olympic course and 13 years for the Sprint course.

Registration & Start Times

Registration is online only and there will be no registrations taken on race morning. Start Times are subject to change, times will be detailed on the RTC website and announced race morning

Course Map

The Swim is a triangle shaped 750m course in the internationally renowned Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. 1 Lap for the Sprint distance race and 2 Laps for the Olympic distance race with a beach turn around. Swim caps will be provided.

The Bike course consists of 6.67km Lap with each lap following the coast until cutting through towards Cape Peron and coming back the same way past transition. There are a few technical turns but the course is very flat and has plenty of long stretches. 3 Laps for the Sprint distance race and 6 Laps for the Olympic distance race Roads will be closed to traffic for the duration of the event.

The Run course consists of 2.5km Laps and has competitors following the footpath along the coast with an out and back 2.5km lap. 2 Laps for the Sprint distance race and 4 Laps for the Olympic distance race

Course Set-up begins at 5:30am.
We are a volunteer-resourced club, all help is very much appreciated!

Race Fees

Any team that does not have at least one participant who is a member of Triathlon Australia will need to purchase a day membership to be allowed to race and be covered by insurance. This is an additional $17.50 which needs to be selected when registering.

If one or more participants of a team are members of the Rockingham Triathlon Club then discounts are available via a discount code. Please contact RTC via email rockytriclub.enquiries@gmail.com.
