About

Bayside BMX Club proudly hosting the 2022 Bayside BMX Open Day. The Bayside BMX Club is located in the Brisbane eastern suburb of Wynnum. Travelling North or South on the Gateway Motorway, take Exit 100 and travel east on Wynnum Road. The Club is approximately 10minutes drive from the Gateway Exit 100 heading East on Wynnum Road. We are in Kianawah Park, on the cross road with Network Drive. Our facilities are very Family Friendly, with grassed areas surrounding the track. Please check our Facebook Page for Gate Nights and parking arrangements on the day.

Riding Up

Riders should nominate in their age and gender class. Rider’s may ride up into another age class or gender. Competitors may ride up in higher ability categories and/or ride the opposite gender category. Please refer to the regulation 2.01 in the current Auscycling Technical Regulations BMX for details. Under subscribed classes will be merged as per the current Auscycling Technical Regulation BMX.


Entry Categories & Race Fees

Entries are priced as: Class Nomination Fee per class entered. Your Entry Fee includes $2.00 SQORZ charge per entry.

Notes:
* Credit Card Fees are additional to the fees above and passed on at cost (1.2% + 30c per entry)
* Superclass & Junior Superclass payout 1st to 8th as per Auscycling BMX Regulation 5.02.02

Scratching:

Entered & now can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism. Please note the scratching cut-off because non-attendance refunds after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate.


Quick Reminders

  • Transponders:
    • This is a transponder timed event series.
    • it is a rider's responsibility to ensure the transponder is correctly affixed to their bike and is operational which includes subscription and battery
    • Transponders can be purchased at https://www.sqorz.com/store/p3/transponder.html#/
    • A transponder must have an active Subscription PRIOR to entering. This can be done at https://mylaps.sqorz.com/
    • All riders (except Participation classes) must have a transponder
  • Plates:
    • Riders are required to supply a plate number at entry.
    • Any duplicate plate numbers will dealt with by adding an '1' to one plate to resolve the duplicate.

Special Note:

  • Age class riders are to register via transponder checking station BEFORE practice
  • Mini Wheeler and Sprockets to register with Auscycling QR Code. Please see your Club Registrar for help with downloading QR Codes if necessary.

Riders who do not complete the registration process on the day, risk being withdrawn from racing.

This is a draft schedule and may be modified prior to the event. Any changes to schedule will be published via our Social Media by 10am Friday prior to Racing.


Event Cancellation Refunds

  • Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
  • We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding.
