All entry fees will be donated to National Junior XCO Champion Joel Dodds, to help fund his trip to Les Gets, France for the 2022 UCI MTB World Championships. Joel will be there, and provided the coach gives the all clear he will be racing too.

The Dodd's family are also collecting 10c cans and bottles to help fund the trip, so if you would like to donate your collection please bring them along. The club will also accept any donations on Joel's behalf to pass on.

Self-service scratching includes an automated refund. Scratching closes at the same time as entries. Use the SCRATCH button on the race entry page to scratch.

Details

• 1.3 km closed circuit on one of Australia's newest dedicated bicycle racing facilities
• New Juniors U17 and below are required to attend Junior Development prior to entering into open grades. If you have any questions please contact Ipswich Cycling Club Coaches via email coaching@ipswichcyclingclub.org.au
• U15 and U17 juniors are permitted to race with the senior grades upon Club Coaches and Handicapper approval.
• Competitors MUST attend the race briefing at 6.55 pm in the marshalling area for A to D Grades.
• Warm up for A to D grade will be on the 400m track near Huxham St while Junior Development is on.
• There will be multiple grades on the circuit at the one time. All grades to keep to the right hand side of the track unless passing. The faster bunch is expected to pass a slower bunch on the left-hand side. The bunch being passed must adopt a neutral race condition until the pass is completed.
• Grades may be combined if the number of riders entered is not conducive to quality racing.
• When your race is finished please move to the outside when it's safe, and clear the track.
• Note: Racing may be cancelled if conditions are hazardous due to wet tarmac, lighting failure, recalcitrant wildlife or other unforeseen circumstances. Entrants can expect a refund of race fees in the event of race cancellation.

As a guide, if you have not raced a crit with us before, your initial grading upon entry is as per your current Auscycling road grading.

Please refer to the table below for your expected grade. You may request a different grade upon entry, e.g. based on your crit grading elsewhere. Please clearly explain your reasons for our Handicapper upon entry.

• You must hold a current Auscycling All Discipline membership to be eligible to race
• No licence? If you haven't raced before you can get a 4 week trial membership, to give it a go. Just head to Auscycling 4 week Trial Membership and fill out your details.
