IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS EVENT

MT TORRENS IS BACK - PUSH UP ROUND!

  • Massive thank to Darren and Carol Moore for allowing the Mt Barker bike shop crew to get the track up and running, and allowing us to run an event on the land. Both Darren and Carol have a long history with the club so its great to be able to race on their property.
  • As it is private land there is strictly no practice allowed other than the race weekend
  • CAPPED ENTRIES THIS ROUND. Entry Status as below

  • Entered = You are racing
  • Waitlisted = you are in the queue to replace someone who drops out (you have a good chance due to the number of covid cancellations)
  • Waitlisted Doubtful = It is unlikely you will be racing
  • MAKE SURE YOURR ENTRYBOSS PROFILE MATCHES YOUR AUSCYCLING PROFILE

  • Your first name, last name and AusCycling number must match exactly to your AusCycling profile
  • We will warn you once to update it
  • If you have not updated it within 3 days your entry will be cancelled (We did this last round!)
  • It may seem a minor issue, but we have to check hundreds of riders insurance each round, and if your details are correct in Entryboss we can avoid the volunteers having to waste time chasing down riders with incorrect profiles.
  • You are not special, we will cancel your entry if you are cheeky or difficult about this!

VOLUNTEER REGO

This year we are focusing on getting everyone to help out so please put up your hand to help setup, packup, drive buses, marshall, collect or return trailers etc. The list is endless and we need all the help we can get.

Volunteers are rewarded with a bunch of great things like early entries so you don't miss out on racing, t-shirts, club jerseys, shuttle days and more. Get in touch with us if you would like to help out.

CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT

All registered racers must have the following:

  • Two working brakes
  • Bar plugs/ends on handlebars
  • Full-face helmet with a fixed non-detachable mouth-piece that satisfies the current Australian or equivalent international standards
  • A jersey or shirt covering the elbows
  • Knees must be covered by full length trousers and/or self-fastening knee or knee/shin guards expressly designed for off-road cycling
  • Fully enclosed shoes

The following clothing requirements are MANDATORY for riders aged 17 or younger at ANY point in the current year:

NOTE: The Race Director reserves the right to deem any participants clothing or equipment unsatisfactory. It is up to the participant to ensure they meet the above minimum requirements for the purpose in which they are intended.

CONCUSSION POLICY

We have a strict concussion policy which is simply "if in doubt, sit them out". If concussion is suspected, the rider will not be allowed back on track unless they have a letter from their doctor supporting their return to sport. Riders, mums and dads do not get a say in this decision.

Riders please take care of each other and if you see someone coming off heavily and landing on their head, either knocking themselves out or looking disorientated please take note of their number and chat to them to make sure they dont get back on the bike. Afterwards let someone know of their plate number (track marshals, photographers, caravan crew, transport crew etc)
