Welcome to the VICS MTB 2017 Series! This is the second of the 4-part 2017 VICS MTB Series.
The event is coordinated by Cycling Victoria and Dirt Riders MTB Club. Please keep reading for information about the event and program for the day.
The event will be held at Lysterfield Park, Lysterfield, utilising an area near the Hallam North Road car park and trails used for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
Parking will be at the Hallam North Road car park. Please note there is no parking on Hallam North Road.
Car park will be closed at 4pm
Entries via the Cycling Victoria website will close at 11.59pm on Thursday 27th of July. On the day entries are $30 cash, paid on the day, and riders must fill out a form that is signed by a parent or guardian. The number of on the day entries allowed is at Cycling Victoria’s discretion.
Upon arrival at the event village, riders must visit the registration tent to check their names off and receive their number. Riders must register at least 30 minutes before the start of their race. Riders who do not register will be ineligible to win. The registration tent will open at 8.30am.
Numbers must be attached to the front handlebars of your bike. CV will provide small zip ties for this purpose.
VICS MTB events start at 9.30AM and will conclude by 3PM, we will be starting with young age groups and moving up through the age categories throughout the day.
The following is a rough guide (amount of laps subject to change): 9.30am - JR11s: 2 laps (short course) 4.8km 10.00am - JR13s: 3 laps (short course) 7.2km 11.00am - JR15s: 2 laps (long course) 11.5km 12pm - JR17s: 3 laps (long course) 12.3km 1pm - JR19s: 4 laps (long course) 16.4km
NB: Start times are dependent upon entry numbers. A start list with exact times will be uploaded to the Cycling Victoria website 24 hours before the event and should be checked for further confirmation.

Medical support will be provided by St Johns. A mobile medical team will be on course at all times to attend to any medical issues. An emergency contact number is provided below.
