The Madison of Melbourne 2015/16

Melbourne Omnium will host the Madison of Melbourne at DISC on the 14th of November 2015. This event will see a number of events and categories including the grand finale - the 50km Madison. Races will include a combination of scratch races, point scores, snowballs, eliminations and keirins with each rider racing three races relevant to their discipline (sprint or enduro). Divisions 1 & 2 will see an Omnium format consisting of three mass start events.

Riders will race three races on the night.

• Madison Teams (Invitational)
• Division 2 (Omnium - Individual)

Note:Due to the NJTS event at DISC, J15/J17 riders will be not permitted to start.

Information

1. All fields are limited to 24 riders each (12 for Keirin events).
2. This is a "pre-pay" event. Pay on the day is discouraged. See the "Entry Information" section below.
3. Scratching can take place anytime before the entry close date via EntryBoss (refunded). After this point email us at events@melbourneomnium.com.au (sorry no refund at that time).

Licensing

A current 2015 or 2016 Cycling Australia or UCI International license must be presented at registration. No license, no ride.

Note: We do not want to handle cash on the day. There will be a $10 "pay on the day" surcharge for riders who do not prepay.

Field Size Limits

• 12 riders - Keirin
• 24 riders - Division 2 & Madison

Scratching Policy

1. You must pre-enter via the online entry system.
2. Riders can officially withdraw from a race by scratching via the entry system by the entry close date. You will receive an email confirming your scratching or withdrawal from the event/race. Any pre-payments made will be refunded to your bank card. After this point email us at events@melbourneomnium.com.au (sorry no refund at that time).
3. Riders who have not officially withdrawn from the race in accordance with (2) above but simply do not attend the event will be expected to pay the entry fee.

Waitlisting

Riders are able to scratch so we will be waitlisting riders so as to be able start full fields come race day. If you are waitlisted, there is a very real chance that you may still ride. If you are waitlisted and miss out, you will be refunded prior to the event. If you are waitlisted and decide not to wait for a potential race start, please scratch for a full refund. Waitlisted riders will be notified as slots become available.
