Cycling Australia are pleased to offer a Webinar based Introductory Skills Instructor course to Cycling Northern Territory members wishing to gain the confidence of working with cycling clubs and schools in the delivery of skills for cycling.

The 2 webinars for the Cycling Australia Introductory Skills Instructor Course have been developed in line with the SPORTAUS (Sport Australia) Guidelines for introductory courses. This introductory course provides club volunteers with opportunities to learn, study and be assessed for both the theoretical and practical aspects of coaching children and beginner adult cyclists in both non-traffic and low-traffic environments.

The course is accredited under the Cycling Australia Coaching and Officiating Accreditation Scheme (CACOAS) and is a nationally recognised instructor course. The Cycling Australia Introductory Skills Instructor Course provides participants with an introduction to the basics of teaching cycling skills, including the planning, implementation, analysis and revision of beginner and intermediate cycling coaching sessions. This is achieved through an understanding and application of the underpinning knowledge specific to cycling and the Sport Australia Community Coaching General Principles minimum requirement for persons actively involved in the delivery of club sport coaching and skills sessions.
