Norwood Cycling Club is excited to collaborate with our member Craig from BUCK!T who has jumped on board to sponsor preme sprints. An amazing offer from a local, bicycle-based, eco-business in Adelaide.
BUCK!T produce handmade products from various upcycled bicycle parts, tyres and tubulars of all colours, styles and descriptions! Each piece BUCK!T make is a one-off, as they are all made by hand, here in Adelaide - not in a factory!
Please visit https://www.buckitbelts.com/ to browse products in stock as well as checking out the BUCK!T stall at races. Please help support a local business and NCC member that is supporting local club racing.
New to racing, why not try Cycling Australia's 3-ride permit, to try racing before committing to a full license, see link below. Not quite sure which grade you are? Please feel free to have a chat with NCC Handicapper Peter Varricchio on 0411 118 262. If you have questions about racing please contact NCC on facebook messenger. If its your first race recommend arriving at sign on at least 30min prior to your race starting, to sign on, have your paper work with proof of license. Leave time to pin on numbers, zip tie on timing transponder and warm up / have a nervous toilet break!
Tuesday night Crits will be senior mixed gender grades only due to time restrictions with available sun light. No Womens or junior specific grading. Senior mixed grade crit racing is Mens and Womens grades combined racing in one event, with placings for 1-3rd in the grade + 1st Women.
This summer we will be running Sunday events on average once a month to accommodate women and junior specific grades. NCC are actively working towards having the capacity, volunteer base, structure, and resources to host more Womens and Junior Specific racing.
See CSA Women’s Commission guidelines for more information on mixed gender racing; http://sa.cycling.org.au/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=b4PSIlyWKoE%3d&portalid=15
U17 Juniors can ride up as long as all conditions of the CSA Juniors Riding Up Policy are met: http://sa.cycling.org.au/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=r1R01ZJjFK4%3d&portalid=15 and the relevant forms are signed and provided to the club prior to race start.
