Welcome to the Victorian Schools Cycling Championships (VSCC) 2018 Road Series! This is the third of four zone finals in the 2018 Road Series before the state final in Bendigo on 21 October.

The event is coordinated by Cycling Victoria and the Brunswick Cycling Club. Please keep reading for information about the event and program for the day.

Event Location:

The event will be held at the Yarra Boulevard ‘Tear Drop’ loop, near the entrance to Yarra Boulevard from Studley Park Rd, Abbotsford.

Parking:

Parking is available on Yarra Boulevard.

Entries:

Entries via the Cycling Victoria website will close at 11.59pm on Monday the 3rd of September. On the day entries are $30, must be paid in cash, and will be granted at Cycling Victoria’s discretion.

Registration:

Upon arrival at the event village, riders must visit the registration to check their names off and receive their number. Riders must register at least 45 minutes before the start of their race. Riders who do not register will be ineligible to win.

Bib Numbers:

Bib numbers must be attached to the left side of riders’ jerseys. Each rider receives only one bib. Remember…you can keep the bib as a souvenir!!

Roll Out:

Any rider who finishes top 5 in the ‘racing’ category must roll-out immediately after their race. Roll out restrictions (as per the 2014 Cycling Australia Technical Guidelines) are: • Junior 13s – 5.5 meters • Junior 15s – 6.0 meters • Junior 17s – 7.0 meters • Junior 19s – 7.930 meters Please note that JR13s, 15s, and 17s cannot use carbon rims.

Event Start Times and Distances:

Exact start times are dependent upon entry numbers, however racing will begin at 12pm with the youngest age to oldest, finishing by 2:30pm. The amount of time will varies between 10 mins and 25 mins (course is 1km). A start list with exact times and numbers of laps will be uploaded to the Cycling Victoria website a day before the event.
