Welcome:

Welcome to the VICS BMX 2018 Series!

The VICS BMX Series caters for students aged 6 - 18 and will feature four fantastic events across the state in 2018. Once again the series has received strong support from BMX Victoria and it's affiliated clubs. Students can enter multiple events and race to their heart's content as they strive for glory at one of the three zone events and the state final, which heads to Bendigo as part of the VICS State Final Festival!

The event is coordinated by BMX Victoria, Cycling Victoria and Warrnambool BMX Club. Please keep reading for information about the event and program for the day.

Event Location:

The event will be held at Warrnambool BMX Club, Food and drink will be available at the event site throughout the day.

Parking:

Event Parking is available within the reserve next to the club site, please follow the signs upon entering the reserve.

Entries

Entries via the Cycling Victoria website will close at 11.59pm Monday the 24th of September. On the day entries are $30 cash, paid on the day, and riders must fill out a form that is signed by a parent or guardian. The amount of on the day entries allowed is at BMX Victoria’s discretion.

Registration:

Upon arrival at the event, riders must visit the scoring tent/shed to check their names off and receive their number. Riders must register between 9:00am and 10:00am. Riders who do not register will not be able to compete. The registration tent will open at 9:00am.

Numbers:

Numbers must be attached to the front handlebars of your bike. BMXV will provide small zip ties for this purpose.

Event Start Times:

VICS BMX events start at 9.30AM and will conclude by 3PM. Proposed Schedule is as follows:

9:00am - 10:00am – Registration for ALL riders

9:30am – 10:30am – Novice Coaching Session with club coaches

10:15am – 10:45am – Open Practice on course

11:00am – 1:00pm – Racing – Qualifying Motos

1:30pm – 2:00pm – Racing – Finals

2:10pm – 2:30pm – Presentations

Series Qualification:

Riders must be scored in one moto in a nominated age group in a Zone Final to qualify for the State Final in Bendigo on Saturday 21 October.

First Aid / Medical:

Medical support will be provided by St Johns. A mobile medical team will be on course at all times to attend to any medical issues. An emergency contact number is provided below. For all serious issues please make your emergency calls in the following order: 1. Call ‘000’ 2. Call the appropriate Medical Support number 3. Call the Events Team
