GENERAL INFO

This is the fifth running of the Mountain Planning Inverted Enduro event after two ‘in real life’ events and two ‘virtual’ events via Strava.

We are excited to announce this will be an IN REAL LIFE event in 2022!

With a variety of categories, including U13/U15, juniors (U17/U19), elite and ebike; we welcome all riders. The U13/U15 will ride a shorter course - see course details below.

The course will take most people between 45mins - 1hour 30mins depending on your fitness level.

Two major waves of riders will leave the start line; with the aim that both groups finish at roughly the time on the top of Mystic. Timing will be old school, leave at 10.30 am as a bunch and the first ones over the finish line in the categories are crowned winners.

PRIZES

We will have a King and Queen of the mountain for the elite category with $100 prize for each. A Prince and Princess of the Mountain for the Junior Category with $50 prize for each. All other category winners will be awarded prizes.

We will also be awarding a Mr and Mrs average - (median time of all males and females – including juniors), so you may not be the fastest, but you can still be a prize winner!!

INVERTED ENDURO??

The Mountain Planning Inverted Enduro presented by the Alpine Cycling Club is an uphill time trial from the base of Mystic to the summit of Mystic taking in some of the excellent trails in the park.

The race finishes at the summit of Mystic. Before a neutral descent back to the ACC club rooms for presentation and BBQ. The neutral descent is a choose your own adventure, and we suggest grouping up with similar ability riders for a safe descent.

The ride will begin at the paraglider landing strip and ride the following trails to the top of Mystic:

  • Roller Coaster
  • Cross the Morses Crk Bridge and ride White Star Rd

  • Grevids Way
  • Up DJ U13 and U15 Categories finish here
  • Hero Up trail (Haides 1, 2, 3)
