Teams racings is available to A & B grades only (Men's & Women's)

All other grades are normal graded scratch races.

TEAMS RIDERS are asked to enter themselves individually and provide a TEAM NAME.


TEAM limits reminder: Men's A (Max 4), Women's A and Men's B (Max 3), Women's B (Max 2)

Host Club Initiative: Teams Racing / Closed Circuit / Come & Try option

This race is on fully closed roads. This offers the opportunity for:

• Women's Series II with separate women's grades

• Teams racing for Men's A & B and Women's A

• Junior grades

• E Grade

• Come & Try option with coaches and marshals for those who are considering racing (road bike required by no licence neccesary)

• Marquee space available by prior arrangement with the Race Director

Registration

• Rego Location: - La Trobe University, Bundoora Campus. Thomas Cherry Courtyard on Science Drive by Car Park 1

• Parking: Car Park 1 by Ring Road and Kingsbury Drive

• Toilets: We will be on campus and there are multiple facilities close by, including by the car park, in the Thomas Cherry Student Union and by the food court. The food court will be open with several coffee vendors.

• Presentations: In the event village at Thomas Cherry Courtyard. Juniors from 9:00. C, WC and E Grades from 10:10. B, WB and D from 11:30. A and WA from 1:05

• Race Number Return: At registration

• Misc : The University is welcoming us to a great new course in Melbourne. Please treat the campus with respect.

Race Fees

• Race Fees: TEAMS RACING for Men's and Women's A and B Grades. Make sure when your team members enter that you all enter the same team name so that we know you are together. All other grades are individual entries. Standard Combine entry prices.
  
• Pre-Pay Only: - Race Fees are pre-pay only.
• Scratching: - Scratching is a self-serve, automated refund via EntryBoss if withdrawing within scratching cut-off (generally midday Friday - pls see above). **Team Changes:* - If you need to change the composition of your team, this will be a manual process and incur a $10 fee which will be donated to student athlete scholarships. Remember that team members can scratch through the system with a new team registering for the existing team (no fee incurred).

Race Day Procedures

IMPORTANT

• Finish Line Area: - It is important to keep all finish lines free from congestion. Please move off the road once finished.
• Racing Incidents: - Safety is important. Please report all race incidents to the Race Director, or alternatively via the post-race rider survey. Incident reporting is an important feedback loop and helps improve safety going-forward.
• Spectating: - Marquee space is available by prior arrangement with the Race Director. Note that all marquees must be weighted down (no peg policy)

GENERAL

• Disc Brakes: - Disc brakes are now approved for racing in Australia and welcome at all Northern Combine races.
• No License, No Race: - riders need a current license (or proof of renewal) to race. CA licenses only.
• New to Racing: - 3 Race Licenses are accepted. Please ensure you have organised this with a club or online via Cycling Australia prior to race day.
• On-the-day Entries: Sorry, on-the-day entries are not accepted.
• Announcements: - Please check the Northern Combine Facebook page, twitter or website for any announcements regarding racing.

Juniors Racing Senior Grades

• U17 Juniors are welcome to race senior grades as long as CA Tech Reg distance and roll-out/age-appropriate gearing restrictions are adhered to.
• Junior pricing will apply - but no prize money will be awarded. (applies to U17 only. No restrictions on U19)
• Younger juniors (U15 and below) are requested to race with David Morgan.
